W.D. Richardson Scholarship Recipients
Impact Statment
Since 2003 The W.D. Richardson Memorial Scholarship Fund has awarded over 35 aspiring high- school graduates financial assistance and scholarships to support them and their families in the pursuit of their dreams of an higher education at some of the nations outstanding colleges, universities and professional trade schools throughout our great Nation; and, many represented families of first-time college bound access.
Through our rigorous application process and academic requirements, we are very hopeful of each student’s success.
The Blue Ridge Baptist Church Family is very proud that many students awarded scholarships are leading productive lives in Houston and beyond in diverse sectors as leaders in education, business, entrepreneurs and commerce, and community and social development agencies.
The Committee for the W. D. Richardson Memorial Scholarship is honored to serve on behalf of BBC’s Family and grateful the church’s year-around monetary contributions to the Committee’s fundraising dinners and special projects.
